How many days for the Cultural Triangle?
Trying to plan Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa, Dambulla and Anuradhapura without rushing. Is three days enough, or am I going to be exhausted hopping between sites?

Three full days is comfortable if you base yourself in Sigiriya or Habarana. Day one Sigiriya rock at sunrise plus Dambulla caves; day two Polonnaruwa by bicycle; day three Anuradhapura. Anuradhapura is the most spread out, so save energy for it. Climb Sigiriya before 7am — both for the light and to beat the heat.

Did almost this exact route last year. Three days worked but rent a bike in Polonnaruwa — walking it in the midday sun nearly finished us.
